Who?
This week I spotted Amie Alvarado while on my way back to my car from class and I wanted to ask her about her fit! Check out this weeks interview to see the details about her fit.
On this week of Street Threadz we see what street fits(outfit) stands out the most at CSULB. This week I chose to interview Amie Alvarado who is a nursing major from Monterey Park. Her style is one of the more casual and relaxed style of StreetWear. Even well being in comfortable clothes she can still be stylish and show her personality through it. Through her fashion you are able to see she derives her style from her music, which is Hip-Hop. She wore a 59FIFTY brown fitted Orioles hat with a green under brim along with a black OnTheGo hoodie with the brand name across the chest in crystals. She wore those with custom sweats that have Jack the Skeletons face on them towards the bottom of the legs along with white Air Force ones. She purchased the hat from ExtremeWear, the sweater online from OnTheGo, the sweats were custom by her friend, and the shoes from Nike. I created a mood board down below that shows the vibe of her style and to show that everyone style derives from not only the culture but from the things that we hold a connection with. Streetwear is a style that was built from the street up and will always be around showcasing people’s identities.

Victor: " On this week of StreetThreadz we are joined with"
Amie: "Amie Alvardo"
Victor: "What's your grade and where are you from."
Amie: "I am a sophmre and I'm from Monetary Park."
Victor: "Thats cool, I love your fit where did you get yur pieces from?"
Amie: "Thank you. I got this hat from XtremeWear in East Los Angeles, I got this jacket from OnTheGo.com, these sweats were custom made for me by my friend, and I got these shoes from Nike."
Victor: "Oh thats cool your sweats are custom, I like them. It looks like Jack the Skeleton face."
Amie: "Thank you and yeah it is."
Victor: "I love the fit it a calm ine, whats your inspiration behind your style?"
Amie: "I would say I get my style from the music I listen to. I listen to rap, like Shoreline and Playboy Carti."
Victor: Oh that I could see that. Well last week we asked the last person what was their favorite fashion trend. This week we are going to ask you What is your least favorite fashion trend."
Amie: “I would say skinny jeans.”
Victor: That makes sense I never liked skinny jeans either. Well thank you for letting me interview you."
Amie: "No problem."

Weekly Moodboard!
Amies style resonates with what is streetwear. From the casual aspects of it with her sweats and sweater to the designs on them and her shoes. Her style reminds me of Skate Style mixed with a Hypebeast type of style. This type of style was really big between 2013-2018 but still lingers around. I have noticed that designs on pants and fitted hats are making a lot of uproar and will be seem more often I think soon.
