Street Finds, April 2024
Who?
This week was different than the previous weeks. I spotted Carlos Majarro while getting gas in Avocado Heights and I wanted to ask him about his fit! Check out this weeks interview to see the details about his fit.
On this week of Street Threadz we see what street fits(outfit) stands out the most. This week I chose to interview Carlos Majarro. What he is wearing is what the Street style started out as, now it is the OG look.Well being in basic casual and comfortable clothes he can still have style and show his personality through it. Through his fashion you are able to see he derives his style from his music, but also from his family. His family members didn’t want to be in the video but they were wearing outfits that matched his style. He wore a camo colored hat with black tank top, a plaid button up, and black cargo pants. He also wore a black flip top belt with white Air Force ones. He purchased the hat from Bass Pro Shop, the button up he got from his grandpa, the tank top from Walmart, the dickies from the swap meet, and the shoes from Nike. I created a mood board down below that shows the vibe of his style and to show that everyone style derives from not only the culture but from the people around them.

Victor: " On this week of StreetThreadz we are joined with"
Carlos: "Carlos"
Victor: "I’m interviewing because I like your style, where do you derive your style from?"
Carlos: "I’m a simple person I like simple things, I’m not wearing anything major. Kind of my uncle too, I like the way he dressed when I was younger."
Victor: "No yeah I can see that, your style kind of gives that 90’s / early 2000’s style. Very minimalistic. Now I like the pieces you have take me through where you got them.”
Carlos: "I got the hat from Bass Pro Shop, the shirt was my grandpa’s, the under shirt is from WalMart, the pants are Dickie cargos that I got from the swap meet, got my belt from the shoe store I work at, and my shoes from Nike."
Victor: "Oh that’s cool I have the same belt but with a checkered pattern. Now there is a lot of questions we can ask but we are going to go back to the basics. If there is one trend you want to comeback or a trend you want to see gone, what would it be?"
Carlos: "I really do not like the Edgar cut, that sh*t is not it."
Victor: "Oh you know what that’s different we haven’t gotten anyone that has mention haircuts."
Carlos: "Yeah the Edgar cut is a bad style.”
Victor: “Yeah the Edgar cut is bad. Well thank you for letting me interview you today."
Carlos: "Yeah no problem, it was nice talking to you man."

Weekly Moodboard!
Carlos’s style resonates with what is OG streetwear. With the casual aspects of it with his tank top, cargo pants, open button up, and shoes. His style reminds me of old school Latino style mixed with a casual style. This type of style was really big between the 90’s and early 2000’s but still lingers around. I have noticed that button ups like his along with the Air-forces are a stable garment in people closets .
My moodboard below consists of the clothing seen on Carlos. I also attached locations and artists that I feel are the source of his inspiration. Check this photos out! Hope this gave you inspiration on your next outfit:)
