Who?

This week I spotted Cindy Caro during my history of fashion class and I wanted to get her fit details! Check out this weeks interview to see where she got her fit details.

This week's Interview is with Cindy Caro. She's a fashion design major at California state university Long Beach. I spotted her in the FCS building while I was in my history of fashion class. She was wearing a striped blue and green knit sweater from Brandy Melville. She had parachute pants from H&M and Mary Jane shoes from Dr. Martens. Lastly, she had gold hoop earrings that she bought from a small boutique in Long Beach called Plantitas. In addition, she was wearing a plaid backpack that she bought from Etsy. I loved her outfit because it looked so comfortable and unique. I loved how she paired the stripes of her top to the plaid of her backpack. She said she loves upcycling and thrifting. She's a design student so she's very creative and loves to pull ideas from exploring stores in Long beach and Instagram. Generation Z loves to find ways to be sustainably friendly and be fashion forward while doing so. Thrifting allows you to be creative and find unique pieces. Her outfit stood out to me because of her use of unique patterns and her accessories.

What's Your Vibe ?

I was lucky enough to ask Cindy some questions diving into her style, her style icons, and her favorite brands.

Esma : "Who are your style icons at the moment?"

Cindy : " My style icons are lowkey influencers. I love @thenotoriouskia she's a fashion sustainable influencer on Instagram. I also love Kali Uchis, shes a singer and song writer."

Esma : "Do you have any favorite brands ?"

Cindy : "My favorite brands to shop are Ilovekoko and addicted to chaos. I love upcycling and thrifting so I want to purchase a top from addicted to chaos and add my own unique twist to it."

Esma : "Where do you find inspiration ?"

Cindy : "I find inspiration from music, I love going to punk shows and surrounding myself with creative people. When I'm at punk shows I see them DIYing their outfits and adding unique fabrics like leather. I also enjoy exploring online and scrolling on Instagram and looking at new trends."

Esma : "Whats your major at CSULB"

Cindy : "I'm currently studying fashion design"

Esma : "Do you have any fashion icks?"

Cindy : "One of my fashion icks is when I see people wearing flat brim rancher hats."

Esma : "As a fashion design student I'm sure you love keeping up with designers. If you could attend any fashion show in the past or during the current fashion season, which one would you attend?"

Cindy : "I would love to attend a Maison Margiela show. I recently learned about this designer because my professor presented a show by him."
